It is said that Anna Russell, 7th Duchess of Bedford, invented Afternoon Tea in 1840. This was to satisfy her “peckishnish” during the long wait between lunch and dinner. We are proud to continue this custom. Prepared and served by reservation only, our menu faithfully follows the traditional combination of sweet and savory treats. Our tea service reflects our southern roots as well as time-honored British influence. Guests can choose from a variety of loose leaf teas served in vintage Homer Laughlin fine porcelain.
Tea Services
Afternoon Tea is from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday, by reservation only. We can tailor our tea menu to suit your party's needs and make your occasion at Lobblolly House one to remember.
Please go online through our website to make your reservations at least 72 hours in advance and cancellations must be at least 24-hours prior to cancelling or altering an existing reservation to avoid charges on your credit card.
